Q&A

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?

It is hard to explain in a few words what my style of photography is. It can vary depending on a couple I work with, location, lighting, and overall environment. An easy example is rustic style wedding in a barn with tons of natural light versus wedding in a moody dark hotel or dark venue where additional light equipment is needed. From the technical point of view, you can't shoot these two ceremonies in the same way, and thus the styles of the pictures will be completely different. That’s is why in my wedding gallery you can see so many variants and styles that I use to accommodate for the environment. But no matter what location you will choose for your big day, It's all about telling the story of your wedding, including all the big and little moments, laughter, tears, craziness and funny little details in between I'm trying to focus on people whom I work at the very individual moment. It's a partial documentary, and partial staged shots especially are where we'll do any family photos you'd like and those gorgeous portraits of the two of you. During this time I'll give you a little more direction but it's all very relaxed, and usually fun! Don't worry if you are a bit camera shy, the vast majority of couples I work with are.

HOW DO YOU WORK?
I'm a full-time wedding photographer and have captured more than 500 weddings. I will have lots of time for you, and you are always welcome to get in touch with any wedding questions, photography related or not. I’m also a bit of an organizer, and I like to prepare meticulously for every wedding I shoot. I visit your venue and locations beforehand and work with your MC on the day to make sure I know exactly what’s happening when. Crucially, it's your day, and I want to know what's most important to you, so I can capture it in a way that's unique, personal and meaningful to you. I really want you to enjoy your wedding day, including having your photos taken. I remember from my own wedding that I most wanted to spend as much time as possible with my guests, so I won't drag you away for photos for too long. We'll plan everything in advance, so we can be efficient on the day.

CAN YOU HOLD MY DATE?
We’re serving our clients on first come-first served basis. Unfortunately, we cannot hold your date without a signed contract and a deposit.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I use professional Nikon equipment and have a wide selection of lenses, so can capture a range of different focal lengths, no matter how small or large your venue is. I also carry lighting for darker venues, as well as backup equipment, so there's no need to worry about any technical failures on the day.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I GET?
I don't cap the number of photos you receive, and the final number depends on your wedding, how many guests you have, and the format of your day. Usually, you can expect to receive between 600-750 photos for 8 hours of coverage, and every additional hour will bring to you around 100 images more.

HOW SOON WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?
You'll receive a sneak peek preview within 48 hours of your wedding, which includes around 15-20 photos, so you'll have a few to get you started. I edit all your photos individually, and this takes a little bit of time to make sure they are perfect. You'll receive all your photos within 4-6 weeks, and often much quicker than that, especially during low season.

SHOULD I BOOK ONE OR TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS?
It's entirely up to you. I usually recommend getting a second photographer if you'd like photos of the boys getting ready, as well as the bride, or if you have more than 100 guests and are keen to get lots of candid shots of your guests. You will receive more photographs if you book 2 photographers and we are able to capture more angles, which is particularly helpful during the ceremony.

ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, as a professional wedding photographer I have the equipment and public liability insurance with coverage up to $3 000 000.
I can provide you a copy of our insurance certificate if your venue requires one.

HOW AND WHEN TO BOOK?
If you are getting married on a weekend between April and October, I suggest you book at least 12 months in advance, as I tend to get booked up quickly during these busy months. Otherwise, as soon as possible really. Once you sent in your booking form and paid your deposit, your date is all yours.

DO YOU PROVIDE GUIDANCE OF THE DAY, LIKE A RECOMMENDED SCHEDULE/TIMING?
Yes, we do! We work closely with our clients throughout the entire wedding process to provide you with highly customized wedding planning experience and to make this process a little bit easier. As a rule, we reach out to our brides 6-8 weeks before the wedding and we work on the timeline for the day. We will guide you in regard to how much time we will need to document various portions of your day, like family and bridal party portraits, discuss all the shot lists you have, any must-have photos and more.

CAN WE HAVE A CHAT BEFORE WE BOOK?
Absolutely! I would love to meet with you and hear more about your plans for the big day. I'm happy to show you a bit more of my work too, and we can both make sure that we're a good fit for each other.

HOW ARE YOU DRESSED FOR A WEDDING?
We understand that weddings are unique and solemn events in peoples lives. Even though we have to wear clothes that would allow as to provide an excellent working performance and won’t restrict and trammel our movements, we always make sure to wear smart, dressy outfits that will help us to blend in with the rest of the guests, usually in black colors.
